This course is aimed at introducing practical applications
on how librarians and libraries are using the computer
and Internet to learn new skills and expand library
services.
The Internets is a virtual library, allowing you to
access information as if it were all stored in one location.
On the Internet, you can access information much as
you would in a library with indexes.
Participants will be exposed to Internet and methodology
for constructing a Library WEB Page. It is not enough
to just surf the Web anymore every library is creating
their own Web Pages!
In this ear of Information Technology your library
should consider developing a Web site to facilitate
on-line readership system in your library. If you already
have one, you should consider improving it in line with
new innovations.
